    The second book of the series, it is still as beautifully written as the first I found the writing improved from the first book as the adventure story was fleshed out a bit I was sadly dismayed to see, that the original characters from the first book, are now all grown up and I feel a bit jilted about being left out I had some difficulty liking the characters in this book, with the exception of Barbara s story and character I found Timothy to be a bit of a tiresome little toady at times, tho The second book of the series, it is still as beautifully written as the first I found the writing improved from the first book as the adventure story was fleshed out a bit I was sadly dismayed to see, that the original characters from the first book, are now all grown up and I feel a bit jilted about being left out I had some difficulty liking the characters in this book, with the exception of Barbara s story and character I found Timothy to be a bit of a tiresome little toady at times, though he did improve thankfully Even though the book said he cared for his grandmother, I just wasn t feeling it So in ways, this book didn t hook me as much as the first, as Timothy just irritated me But of course, he is the hero, the prince, the David and the Goliath giant killer so one should like him, but I just couldn t The book, despite its many dangerous adventures, seemed a bit bland to me I place the blame entirely Timothy, poor dear, as I just don t click with him so ...
