    This is a friend s book so this review will need to be taken with a pinch of bias and a kernel of empathy for my tricky position.I am not really a crime reader though I do know a compelling detective when I meet one Harry Vos is a quiet, casual fellow with the embers of a lifelong raging fire within him He has a limp but also a mean punch.The plot of Shoreline is blissfully gentle after some of the bitter edge of seat stuff I read the previous year It s certainly fun to spend time with Vos and his family than the grim business that a walk on the beach draws him into one day.While a considerable amount of information about the Democratic Republic of the Congo and human trafficking was conveyed credibly, I did wish to learn about the world from the perspective of the characters living within it Also I real...
